Would you use ChatGPT/Claude if it looked like Windows 98? I would. Probably more than I should. I explored a few different looks for Claude and ChatGPT: retro desktop windows, synthwave, bold pop colours, a cleaner pastel workspace, and a familiar blue-and-white dashboard. Seeing them together made me want a theme picker. We customise our phones, browsers and code editors. I’d like that same choice in the AI tools I work in. There are already appearance settings. I’m asking for something more expressive: coordinated colours, typography and interface styling that you can preview, apply and switch back whenever you want. The retro version is the one I’d try first. The quieter pastel version is probably where I’d get my work done. A small starting point could be three optional themes, with the familiar controls kept in place and readable text throughout.I’d be curious to test whether people keep their chosen theme after the novelty wears off. Some of these concepts also explore different layouts and a side-by-side model view. Those are separate ideas; a theme picker could start much smaller. OpenAI and Anthropic product/design teams: would you consider testing this?Which of these would you actually keep switched on for a working week? Unofficial interface concepts. Sample conversations are illustrative. PS : You can also try B2B Customization, Anyways you have seats / orgs they can customize on there needs. Ian Silber Ami Vora OpenAI Anthropic Paytm Troopod
